Tiaki, Jonah and Aoraki

We currently have three semi-resident sperm whales feeding close inshore - Tiaki, Jonah and Aoraki. All three sperm whales have big tails much to the delight of our guests who are hoping to capture a beautiful tail shot as they head down on another deep feeding dive.

On our tours we focus on viewing these sperm whales (and any others that might have moved into the canyon overnight), if time is available throughout the tour we will try and view dusky dolphins, NZ fur seals, marine birds and anything else that may be of interest.

The following is a selection if images taken by one of our crew on the 10am tour on the 21st December 2015.
